Blog started by a ninth grader from Princeton New Jersey USA for spreading the awareness of this global health emergency called "SUPERBUGS".This blog is all about superbugs - Bacteria who have outsmarted all our available antibiotics so far. I will keep writing about all things related to Superbugs like MRSA, bacteria, NDM-1, infection, antibiotic-resistant, multi-drug-resistant. This humanity crisis needs urgent attention before it is too late.

Australia faces an 'unbelievable' national shortage of antibiotic

It is a frightening news item coming out of Australia. Vancomycin, an antibiotic used to treat diarrhea, will not be available until February 2017, drug manufacturer Pfizer has confirmed. 'Not having the drug is almost the same as having a bug so resistant the drug doesn't work; patients do very badly,' Dr Collignon told Fairfax Media.
News like these are certainly a setback in fight against Superbugs. Over usage of antibiotic needs to be reigned in.
