Superbugs ! Lets fight Superbugs! Blog started by a ninth grader from Princeton New Jersey USA for spreading the awareness of this global health emergency called "SUPERBUGS".This blog is all about superbugs - Bacteria who have outsmarted all our available antibiotics so far. I will keep writing about all things related to Superbugs like MRSA, bacteria, NDM-1, infection, antibiotic-resistant, multi-drug-resistant. This humanity crisis needs urgent attention before it is too late.

Indian state of Assam and other NE sates of India - Rampant use of antibiotic in Broiler chicken.

One of the major factors which is contributing to "Superbugs" health crisis is the rampant use of
antibiotics for animal and poultry growth. As per the latest article from eastern today, In Assam and other north eastern states of India, Poultry farmers use antibiotic to increase the weight of chickens.

If we don't stop this antibiotic overuse, in very near future we will have a lot of people with antibiotic resistant bacteria and the impact can be very dangerous.
It's about time we take this very seriously.
