Fast Food Chains Being Ranked By Antibiotics

A group of public health and environmental organizations conducted a study on food chains that use chicken, beef or pork in their food, such as Chipotle, Panera, Taco Bell, etc. However, it is shocking to see that when placed on a scale with letter-based grades, restaurants like Olive Garden and Starbucks received an F, while the two food chains that received an A were Panera Bread and Chipotle. It was surprising to me, how Starbucks, such a popular and upscale chain, was given an F due to their meat and other sources of superbugs. I usually don't eat anything in Starbucks, but it worries me that such large food chains do not pay attention or decide not to for an issue with no cure once it starts to spread amongst the community. As per CDC, antibiotics in animal food chain is one of the leading causes of  "Superbugs" crisis and we need to create awareness to fight against this superbugs serious threat.

Have a look at this collaborative new report which ranks the 25 largest US fast food and "fast casual" restaurant chains on their antibiotics policies and practices.
