Younger Kids May Not Need Antibiotics for Ear Infections

According to Katherine Flema-Dutra, antibiotics given to kids over the age of six months may not need a full ten-day dose of antibiotics, and simply may only need it for possibly two or three days.  Now, these shorter antibiotic doses would be for simple infections such as the strep throat or an ear infection. Although a child and an adult both can have a ear infection, a child is more prone to having it. Root causes of an ear infection are inflammation and fluid buildup.
