Superbugs ! Lets fight Superbugs! Blog started by a ninth grader from Princeton New Jersey USA for spreading the awareness of this global health emergency called "SUPERBUGS".This blog is all about superbugs - Bacteria who have outsmarted all our available antibiotics so far. I will keep writing about all things related to Superbugs like MRSA, bacteria, NDM-1, infection, antibiotic-resistant, multi-drug-resistant. This humanity crisis needs urgent attention before it is too late.

My Summer at TRIP Initiative

Hi Everyone! This summer, I had the oppurtunity to be apart of Fox Chase Cancer Center's TRIP Initiative at Temple University! It was an amazing experince, and I got to learn a lot about working in a lab and even more about Antibiotics. At TRIP, we used fruit flies to test out our drugs (mine was antibiotics) and we had the freedom to conduct different assays. I was interesting in learning how various types of antibiotics affect female fertility and gut bacteria, so I conducted both of those assays. That being said, I can't thank Dr.Amanda Purdy, Ms.Trinity Pellegrin, and Dr.Jaye Gardiner enough for guiding me through the summer. Without them, this amazing experience would not have been possible and they were truly the most amazing instructors anyone could ask for.
